Poems
Some are mine, some are my bratty cynical-idealist boyfriend's
Just think about them
** we were both 14 when we wrote these lol, pardon the errors.
Just think about them
On the Origin of Stupidity , his
In early times of brains abound,
And knowledge could be easily found
Tis very hard to comprehend
As humans now are dumb as hens
But in this land where all were smart
There was one man who was apart
YOU may find him quite akin
Thanks to Mr. Charles Darwin
So that is how we came about
If you're confused, just give a shout
Cause if you are, then I conclude
That you descend from this preludefeel , mine
Day in, day out...
Seasons alter emotions about.
Like fall leaves, trapped in a whirlwind...
Like winter's wrath, cursed under a sin...
Look about,
Although hesitant in instinct,
even fruits of Persephone, die in wintertide...
life, a game of chance, falls to ashes in time.
Years bleed out...
Lost, as the days fade to darkness.
Abandoned, as time never stops.
Yet, in hearts hope remains...
Just only for a moment,
A voice soft as a dove coons...
A light shimmers unlike the moon...
Immaculate, yet spurious in faith!
Look up into the sky,
And realize, this is what makes you alive. sensation , mine
it is a sensation, which i adore
merely a guilty pleasure, nothing more.
unable to suppress these tremors,
i scramble on the floor.
searching for treasure only so fine,
i grip it to my breast--, consider taking a breath one last time.
shaking my senses and whirling my temper,
i decide i'll only tamper
just this time.
as i pull from this day
the stone in my breast dissolves away.
the sensation begins...
and the pain is only within
my control--once again
now i too fade away,
admiring my work.
i made a promise to god
no more, no more. gone cold , mine
icy and dark thrives no life,
always unsmiling and apathetic.
hot and bright we only evade,
for it burns and blinds.
no longer can we imbibe the sunshine.
the long winter awaits,
on the tips of human senses.
affections stop cold,
dreams freeze,
sometimes love,
will never thaw.
waiting, and waiting ,
there might be no avail,
to what this winter will unveil. The Relic, his
What was the reason, for our desire
Our passion to search, burning with fire
Something we could not understand
Even with God's helping hand
The relic was never really there
But we felt its presence by a single hair
We searched through sea and sky and land
And now that I think, I understand
The relic was nothing more than a thought
For envy and fear, we looked and sought
Just thinking of our opponent's gain,
Caused desire, passion, and pain
We felt these feelings, like a crutch
But selfish nature, proved too much
The relic has left us like a con
We sit with regret to dwell upon
Oblivious , his
What a lovely day—
Global warming you say?
Bah, that's a load of hay
The sun is shining—
People elsewhere are dying?
Would you please stop your whining
It's a happy occasion—
What? An Alien invasion
I'm on vacation!
Oops... it looks like there were aliens
Is that a high tech heat ray—?
BLAAAAAAARGH!
"And that's what you get
For your neglect
And it's way too late to regret"** we were both 14 when we wrote these lol, pardon the errors.
