Game-Breaking
Woo, Gaia releases another fucktarded game-breaking pay-to-win special!

Fucking stupid.

Why is this stupid? Lot's of games do stuff similar to this. I mean sure you could say they are messing up their market, but they do recycle chance items in their RIGs every month anyways. Just seems like Gaia trying to get more people to buy through a deal. Plus there isn't really much way to "win" at Gaia (becoming rich doesn't count because there is still more to do with it).

Siskataya (admin) has stated in the forums that they're perfectly fine with mule abuse of this offer.
Meaning that people are doing this on many mules (you get the PM, you get the offer. Make an account and I got the PM instantly.)
If people abuse this (which they do.) 10 times would be 5000 Cash plus 5,000,000 Gold, out of no where.
Add this up for how many users will do this and you can tell how much extra gold will be thrown into the mix of the market.
Causing possible inflation and fucking up their economy even more.

To counter-balance this I'd suggest removing the 500k and replacing it with like 200 extra Gcash / Removing it completely.
And lots of gold skins to repair some of the damage.

Edit:

Of course gaia would be okay with mule abuse, 10 times would be $50 given to gaia.
Just shows you how money hungry they are at recent.
Plus when confronted - Jak (admin) pretty much had the mentality of his posts were:

"It's funny, people were complaining about $250 items in Verge but they'd be willing to spend $250 for multiple teal boxes."

Not an actual quote but that's what I gathered from his posts.

Either way they would still be paying and my point stands a lot of games have special sales like this. No matter how absurd it may seem you can't really fault them when other sites and games have and will do a lot worse (ex. Maple story)

Oh I do know a lot of other games make sales like that.
But you usually have to take into consideration how large said companies are and if their economy is well settled or not.
Many games might do it but like this It could result in screwing over Gaia's already messed up economy.
So much gold goes in through this you'd probably have items rising in price soon.

Honestly I couldn't care less about Gaia's Economy but I still personally think it's a stupid idea.
Especially when they 'accidentally' released the PM to previous buyers as well.
When confronted about the 'accident' they basically said the offer would apply to everyone with the PM despite the 'accident'.

Really though we'd just have to wait to see the full impact on the economy.
Many people have abused this but to abuse it to a large extent you would need to spend a lot.
I don't really see many people who can afford it, it's just on the long term.

At least Gaia is happy about this and is racking in the $'s.

It's not gamebreaking.
Maybe not good, but not gamebreaking.

The only items you should be able to buy with real money are ones you can't get any other way. Otherwise, it's considered "Game breaking". If I can spend $100 and be 10,000,000g richer, it's game breaking. You should only be able to get non-tradeable items with real money. It's the place where most games fuck up, and it becomes a "pay to be rich and powerful" type thing, it's stupid.

Yeah, I don't get it. How is this "game breaking" when there is no way to win? What exactly is the game that's being broken?
