Musical and artistic kids come hither
This idea has been thrown around before but nothing ever comes of it. How many of you would be interesting in a large collaborative project with the intention of being released to the members of LG in an attempt to promote activity in every section of the forum, particularly in this case, the music, writing, and visualization.
Music will span several genera, be originals and covers.
Art would be needed for "album design" or music videos or just single image representations of song or images from them.
Poets and writers get to submit lyrics, provide story if project becomes concept-related.

Breakdown:

The Album
&
The Show

All that participate will have their work showcased on LG in a special thread/section/something that will amount to the online version of a talent night/skill show case of the community.
The favorite art, music, writing will be produced into an LG based album/cd.
Collaborative effort is encouraged but solo work is fine too.
You may focus on any topic, but LG, logical, and gaming related things are encouraged.
If interest is large and the participants and site members are willing to donate/buy/whatever I will see about having actual CDs made and awarding them to favorite participants and do some contests to get them into the hands of those that didn't participate.
This is not an only for visual or preforming arts. If you are creative, artsy, whatever, you are welcome to participate and your work will go up.
Short stories, poems, random pictures, photo editing, ect. Whatever you do to express yourself, lets see it.
This isn't a contest, no one is judging any thing. This is for fun.
Flammers and hecklers will be dealt with personally by myself.
Even if you can't/don't want to/ will not participate make suggestion and request for art, poems, song, whatever.



This is nothing official and I want to gauge interest before I pitch anything to any one.

Poll does not log who you are so if you want to be involved post.
Also if you want to be involved then you are involved, there are no exclusions. Beginner or veteran, you're in.

My friend can rape on guitar, but I doubt he'll do it in drop D or w/e it is. He always cries about how it'll break his geetaarrr

There's no point to a lead guitar in drop d. It throws off the scale and typically the low E isn't going to be used in that type of lead, unless they're riffing or something. I can play metal lead I just can't do the speed slur thing where you play so fast all the notes fuse into this pitch that creates music.

We'll see who else is in before we go through with anything. Aside from that I'll have to tab out any thing dethklock related because they pulled all the tabs of Ultimate guitar.

Thunderhorse. If we do one maybe, idk...I mean I'm good for main riff and tapping and if I can figure out the phrases I can play most them save the ones where it climbs and he blurs the sound. I can hear those note, I just can't do that.

i'll make some art for the 'album' if you want. these days it's typical for each song to have its own image... I think. Meh, i don't really know. I haven't paid for music in like years :/

You get less shit now. You don't even get a little booklet half the time. You get a sheet of paper with the album name and main pic. That's one of the reasons I think records are bitchin'. You get a giant case covered with art and a sleeve with art at least, and then some times you get a book too.

I can do almost every instrument. If you need I can also produce it, edit videos, photoshop, or motion graphics.

P.s. I'm in.

FL studio is a live saver when you can't play a certain instrument. Their guitars sound truly authentic, and if you know how to use it right it can sound almost real.

The user formerly names Kain is also wishing to add to it so yeah, fun stuff.
We got this.
Individual/solo stuff welcome. I want to encourage collaborative stuff.
Submit as much art and music as you want. It'll all go up, we may do a vote/contest if we have a ton of stuff to run like an EP/LP/CD/Whatever we call them now. But everything will be show cased.

Sweet, that constitutes enough people to make this work and be awesome one way or the other.
I'm gonna have this sticked for a few days and then go from there.

I can sing, used to be in high school choir down in cali, also made California honor choir. Lately I've been singing a lot of Green Day and Fallout Boy with my friends.

k well im in as drummer, in fact me and my band just recorded one of our practices and we actually got a song out of just my friend starting out with something on guitar and another on bass added in then i played some awesomness on the drums. so definently im in for drum making, i have a double pedal to so yeah, im along Gangsta :D
