Ahhh I have so many "favorites".
So haunter cause I've loved it since 1st gen.
And Lucario cause he's spiffeh.

Only scrubs favorite pokemon are legendaries.
My favorite is the one that killed its creators: Mewtwo

I think picking a legendary is dumb to be honest at any rate. There are so many legendaries now the pool is being over-saturated with ultra-powerful pokemon. When it was only the Birds, Mew, Mewtwo, and the Dogs it was fine, but now there is like 30 legendary. What's the point?

Gligar and Tyranitar were my second gen. Freakin' love them.
It was legendary dogs in gold and silver. Not cats. There is no argument there. I've never heard them referenced to as cats and every thing I've ever read calls them dogs. I'm also certain that in Crystal they Suicune is refered to as a dog.
if you have ever watched the horrid pokemon movie with Entei in it he is portrayed as a dog in his appearance and movement.
Raikou has feline characteristics but I've seen a lot of canon images where it seems dogish.
If any thing they seem to be extremely characterized by traditional Japanese representations of dogs , mythical beasts, and/or tanuki(racoon dog).
