Twitch Plays Pokemon
Somewhere between a train wreck and proof that if you put a hundred monkeys on type writers long enough they'll write the collective works of Shakespeare, Twitch is 9 days into a Rom of Red/Blue. While often fraught with frustrating and irrational behavior progress is being made and ultimately there seems to be some chance of beating the game.

Have you guys kept up with the goings on? Reddit has a subreddit for it and facebook ejaculates memes on an hourly basis. I find the response more interesting than the game play but it's fueling a new wave of interest in pokemon, which is always a good thing.

A few thousand people trying to all control the game at once.

Democracy is boring. took them forever to pick up dem gold teeth.

Twitch because it wasn't posted yet.

I know some sites you can embed twitch on their boards, idk if it works here. too lazy to attempt.

Yes. Two mechanics: you can enter a command to happen in game or vote for democracy or anarchy. In the former the command most entered happens and in the latter all commands happen. Half the people are trying to actually play and the other half are trolling. The resulting struggle is interesting, if not watch but to track.

I've never seen actual progress or a gym battle.

It ended the other day. 16 days, close to 17. Impressed they made it through really.
They're starting again shortly if they haven't already.
