Gaining Weight
So lately I've been trying to gain weight, really just eating as much as I can of foods that aren't overwhelmingly unhealthy.

Rarely eat sweet things, try to stick to a lot of chicken, beef, fruit, vegetables, and bread, as well as a lot of bean & rice type dishes. Eggs and sausage in the morning and such with whatever is convenient for lunch and some type of meat for dinner.

Does anyone who actually knows what they're doing have any advice on what foods to eat to gain weight (in a balanced way ofc).

I'm doing a pretty mild workout right now that just consists of push-ups, sit-ups, dumbbells, and bench pressing. Going to buy a pullup bar soon and add that to the regiment.

Any advice on working out while gaining weight would be useful too.

Lots of nuts for amino acids.
Dairy products for protein, calcium and vitamins.
Veggies like avocados.
If you can get your hands on rye bread, get it!

That's all I could think of that you didn't mention already.

Thanks Soph, I'll definitely try more dairy products. Love avocados, and I'll grab some rye tomorrow.

Buy some protein powder and make shakes.

For my shakes I use
Any whey protein
2 spoons of peanut butter
2 mixed oats bars
1 banana
8 ounces of milk
strawberries
Cereal any of your choice. I use honeynut.
Other little things you can find such as more fruits and oats.
Mix it. and you basically have a 800-1000 calorie drink.
Make sure you eat plenty of food and eat this at night, but make sure you are working out also.
This beats buying regular weight gainer shakes trust me. Cheaper too.
