Science is not always correct, its all based around theories. Love is but another emotion. Love does not revolve around reproduction, its a strong positive emotion of regard and affection.
Also saying that love is just a mechanism that encourages reproduction is false, people will do extreme measures for their loved ones which has nothing to do with reproduction.

Hmm love I would say love but unless your god your love can always be taken back. Time is basically well you can't take time back. If you give someone your time its like I want you to have me. I want this moment in my life to belong to you. I can always stop loving if you killed my mom and I loved you do you honestly think I will love you? I'd say it's pretty useless, it's just the first time you have sex. The first time you do anything has it's own special experience to it, but all and all in the long run it's not that important.
