Flash Art Competition.

I want to get the GFX members and even the rest of the community into something a little different to the normal competitions and contests hosted on LG, generally it's just SOTW and that's about it.

First off I understand that a large amount of you have never touched an adobe product in there life, let alone Flash. So I am proposing two things to help you with this.

First off I will put a portable version of the program in the Underground section of Logical Gamers and add a link from the competition. This means that you would have to have 50 posts to download it. To be fair to every one I will make it so that you have to have 50 posts to join the contest even if you have a copy already.

I will also include a video tutorial made by myself on the topic of the contest, for example if I said make a slide show of photos I will walk you through how to do that in detail on the video.(That wont be the actual contest)

But yea, I've picked up a bit of know how in the subject and I would like to encourage the community to try new things.

I will add a poll to this thread and if you like the idea tick yes if you don't then tick no. Also as this thread is in GFX and I want to reach more of the community I would appreciate it if you ask your friends to have a go.

I haven't decided on prizes but If I do decide on a large LGG prize I will probably have to charge you an entry fee but I will think about that.

To pick the winners it will not just be on the best looking it will also be on who put the most effort in so you don't have to be a good artist to win.

No we haven't got any atm Plobby normally makes them but I haven't seen much of him.

Defiantly, I have been looking for a reason to start using Flash again.

Awesome, The whole Idea of it is to get the community to try something different to the usual same old. The beauty of it is that you don't have to be amazing at flash or even have any skill in it what so ever, there will be prizes for putting in effort as well prettiness and what not.

If it is a success then each contest will be slightly harder making you better at using flash and there for you all gain something out of this even if you don't win.

Did you even read it, it's flash and if I was to tell you what you had to do now it would ruin the contest.

Once I have about 10 people willing to sign up for it I will start preparing for it, note that I will not put a limit on how many people can enter I just want to make sure there at least a few participants but like I said previously, rules and stuff like that will be announced when I start it.

Count me in. My skills became rusty after a like 4 months of hiatus. Sounds great mate!
