It depends on what class/faction you want. I would personally go Night Elf druid.
Human Alliance Paladin. People will think you're the coolest thing around.
Blood Elf Warlock is extremely easy to level

A Blood Elf Paladin is a hit character choice. However, I really like the Blood Elf Warlock.
And, no, you cannot be a Death Night in the trial.

Gnome Mage. Super easy to level, all you have to do is spam frostbolt.
With warlock, it's easy too, but it's a tad bit weird.

No, you still have to have a level 55. (Also the trials only allow you to hit 20 I believe.)

What trial are you running? You can upgrade to the free 10 day Crusades trial which opens Blood Elf

OT: I am currently using a Ret Pally, but thats just what interests me. Look at the classes, research them even, and see what you like. Hell, since you're on the trial, try all of em'!
