I'm not sure why they didn't do this from the start. I can only imagine this will fuck up Tektek, however.

Since items now stack, can you sell them by the stack? or do you still have to sell them one by one?
You still sell regular equip items singularly.
Also, tektek account calculator is pretty much fucked, though it should be easy to alter.

The acct calc might screw up stuff here, provided someone decided to sell an account with worth.
This has been overdue since the site started. Why they didn't add it right from the beginning, I'll never know. Thank god they finally did.

It would be easy to alter, if they weren't lazy about it. My Tektek calculator (which I'll probably have to change to match the new Tektek's) automatically stacked items, before Gaia ever added the stack feature. So either I'll have to unstack Gaia's before sending them to Tektek, or send them in a newly-coded, stacked way.
Either way, it should be an easy fix for them if they know what they're doing. Based on the coding on their website, it really doesn't look like they know what they're doing.
I can't believe that Gaia didn't thought about it more sooner, everybody got more space now 
still i wish they would do something with the same item in different colours. I myself have many items of the same clothing but in different colours ... feelling it's a waste of space. not being to harsh... all in all it's a good improvement

it doesn't know how to deal with the "(2)", "(3)", "(x)", etc yet

In your main inventory items get stacked on top of one another you dont have to do anything. It just happens. If you have many items of a kind then they will be on top of one another rather than separate. Just that nothing else
i find item stacking verry helpful it unclutters my invo by a lot
gaia is just out doing themselfs in a good way you guys see the new seaerch bar and the item stacking thing is really making stuff easy

To expand upon what was said, Tektek finds your items via the source code of the page (which you should know if you're ever used Tektek). In order to change what appears on the page (i.e. in order to stack items), the source code had to change. Tektek isn't human. It looks for pre-defined patterns in the code to find items. If that pattern changes (when items are stacked), Tektek won't be able to find the items.
so basicly what you just said in a nutshell is tektek is obsolete intill someone defines the new source code?
Yeah, pretty much. Someone at Tektek anyway. I could alter my Tektek calculator to send the proper Tektek information, but I'm too lazy and there's really no incentive. So... yeah, Tektek is obselete.

well tektek is going to be pretty mad you think gaia is purposly messing with stuff to make things harder for everybody who messes with there site?
No. They added it because it's a feature that should have been been of Gaia since it opened. I'm sure it was highly requested, and certainly highly needed.
It is very awesome if you have over 700 items! xD
