Any way to ghost with the new trade system?

Or am I stuck publicly showing the account that holds my gear?

Not completely sure, but gifting a pair of slippers today, they ended up ghosting.

Hm...So we may be able to open the gift function, equip them, then submit password to gift?...Ill look into this.

Saves avatar, item isnt equipped.

Here is a method I figured out.
1. Unequip everything from your avatar.
2. Use a Zombie 2k8 Potion.
3. Equip what you want to ghost on your avatar, but don't save it.
4. Then use one of the Human Potions (A, B, C, ect.)
Result = Ghosted avatar.

Just tried it.

1> turned to a zombie
2> Unequipped everything
3> Went to customize and dressed em but didnt save the avatar
4> used human potion
5> result
Items were equipped, but they show as equipped in the inventory and I cant gift or trade them.

Well it was working a few weeks ago.
I'll ask my student his method since he ghost an OMG.

Well, Gaia had a huge update over the weekend where they rebuilt the trade system and alot of basic functions of gaia.

So. I havent been able to find a new way to ghost >< if you find one, let me know.

Yeah, you just have two windows open. One with your avi and one with the items being equipped. save the avi and really fast go to trade and have you password already typed in then send.
Tell me if it doesnt work I might not be explaining it good enough but it works.

Eh, that's the same technique they already described valium.
I feel like the only way to ghost would be a completely new exploit, which I cant imagine has been found so soon. All the old ways are patched.

Exactly.
If we were able to do that method above, We would be able to trade items to two different people at once, resulting in a dupe.

But with how everything is updated, It acts like this.



This, = Your account number which ties to the inventory.
Account number 535356
This = Your avatar`s number which ties to the equipped items in a -NEW- form of inventory.
Account number 535356-1

Equipping items in this sense, Results in the "serial not in owner location" effect that I am assuming is the result of what is going on.

It seems, the User ID for say, OMG#553 when equipped, is removed from xxx`s inventory, and moved to xxx-1`s inventory, As if the item was just traded.

So for how it looks right now, If we can figure out how to ghost items, We will be capable of finding out how to duplicate items.
Unless we somehow find a way to save a different avatar to the character, I dont see any other way around it...

Here's how you do it:

1.) Unequip the items you want to ghost. Simple yeah?

2.) Have two tabs open. One to the trade bank and the other to your avatar page.

3.) Have the items you want to ghost etc. on but don't save your avatar.

4.) Begin a trade with some random account that isn't active (or your mule is even better) but don't send it just yet (it's best to have your password already placed in the box). Place the items you're ghosting into the trade.

5.) Once everything is set, go back to your avatar page and save the avatar.

6.) Quickly click your trade window and start the trade.

7.) If done correctly, your avatar should have a database error on the page while your trade successfully went through. Cancel the trade and enjoy the ride.

It would be convenient, But the program may require two accounts.

I noticed that when ghosting items in the avatar creation section, the items remain on your unsaved avatar until the other person ?`s the trade, then OK!`s it, So I think there may be a possibility that the items could be taken from the inventory and moved to the equip location.

Yea, i have ways to get around things like that aleena Ill see what i can do in a few minutes. Working on some stuff then ill make a proof of concept kind of thing up

Man, maybe it's timing, but I can't seem to get Chaos' method trk. That bot would be super helpful.

like, lets say I did what Chaos said.
Is my Mule supposed to get horns too?
What's the point of Ghosting?

Maybe I'm too slow on it, every time i go to save my av and then press trade I get an error and it saves it on the av instead of ghosting it x3

What's the point of Ghosting?

It allows you to save your items to your avatar, then trad them back to your mule so you dont need trry about someone targeting your account for hacking.
