Yeah, sounds like Gaia. First they added really obnoxious and dumb advertisements and stopped using the "Announcements" for actual ANNOUNCEMENTS, and then they started using them for advertisements, CIs, and Thank You letters. Now they don't release any nice and high quality items, and when they do they're normally items in CIs and stuff, they don't release items otherwise.
I am a fan of recolors. Not as new items, but I like old items having options of colors. I've been considering doing it with the Chao items, where you can buy colors for your item for cheaper than buying a new item again.
But somehow I'm betting Gaia is just making new items.

I see what you mean, gaia is going down hill.
Feeling that Gaia could be losing ideas so they have only want to release recolors.

What if they re-colored a really old item like the DJs? I wonder how the market would be like then. lol
If they recolored items like that the market would go into the crapper because those are what all the "oldies" have invested their gold in, my friend who joined in late '03 had like 3 sets before he traded off to get the panda and griz hats. Now he has at least one of every DI from '03-'10

Gaia has always been pretty lazy. At least since about 2009-2010
They've remade headphones yes, but not in the same style as the DJ headphones (not that I've seen anyway)
They don't recolor MC's.

The recolors for the merrionete items really messed things up. I remember when pale Marionette was the shit, but now its all about Icy and Crimson Marionette.
