When trading for multiple Items which way is safest

I was in a trade for multiple high valued items (10M, 6M, and 6M) three of them. He asked me since there where six items if I wanted to just trade instead of gift. But I thought trading would be very unsafe so I just decided to gift them all to the same mule.

Was that the best decision? How could I have made it safer in the future?

Unless you are doing volumes of about probably 20-50+ high valued items either way should be fine. Gifting 6 items does look more suspicious than a single trade, but normally it doesn't matter as they are all going to pretty much the same log.
Some people like to trade items through the marketplace (putting in a cheap item for a high price) but this is actually the most noticeable method.

I buy gaia gold, ranges up to 300m sometimes. I've yet to see any ban though, but then again it's gold. It could just be a friend giving it to me, but yeah, not sure if it's any different in items. But sometimes I buy 50m, 90m, ect. Don't think it's a problem until someone reports items stolen and it leads to you. My 2005 account was hacked and banned, they told me items reported stolen were found on the account and/or the account profited from stolen items, that's a reason why I buy gold and not items. Then I can just get what I want with the gold. But apparently the hacker used my main as a middle man. I probably just threw gibberish your way, but I hope some points made sense in there.
