I'm going to get it right when it goes on the shelf. They look pretty damn sick, plus the built in wifi makes it amazing.

Project natal, or kinetic looks pretty sick. But ill probably just stick to y cod.

Kind of pissed considering its quieter and has built in wifi. If I get it I'll have to go sell my 360 in the next few weeks while price is still reasonable.

20GB HD = $30
1 controller = $25

Console is without HD and they will be getting the ability to transfer data in store to new console. With Edge that's 10% more plus there is a promotion right now for an extra $25 on any console trade in.
Slim was announced at $245, so it might actually be a fair trade in for once.

Still looks like a god damn wii to me.
Plus Kinect makes it look even more like Wii xD
Maybe i can get my friend to give me his old xbox if he gets this crud.

Kinect (Natal) doesn't make it like a wii. Wii's require a controller, the whole thing is a controller-less, motion sensing, system (Not like the eye toy at all. )

You want the older one. This one heats up really fast.

Yeah. They were mainly focused on "fixing" the RROD "error".

Now they are gonna add blue-ray they need blue ray and motion sensing controllers (Like the PS3, not the wii). Then were talking.

It heats up too fast, needs new fans. Like some aspects and hate others.

So I've ponyed up and bought on of these things. I get it sometime later this week. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

Still have it. Made a refundable deposit today. I'm doing my research. I can get my money back and not trade if I choose.

Update: So I did my web searching and made a few calls. As I understand it the slim heats at the same rate as the regular 360. The rod its cause by heat and to prevent this occurrence the slim has a kill switch in it that cuts the console off at a certain internal temp. But if your slim is ventilated correctly and you're not planning to embark on any 12 hour gaming sessions its should be fine.
The slim also consumes 50% less power than any other xbox 360 model and is several units quieter that the last 360 model.
The specs are close, slight improvements where made internally.

I've not been one to chase new model. I bought the 360 I have going on 4 to 5 years ago and its done great so I never upgraded. There is a decent deal and a chance to have a renewed warranty. So I'm going for it.
