Will this work?

Will this work as a way to record PC gaming shit without using (as) much memory? Hauppauge is an HD PVR for those who don't know.

PC(DVI OUT)--->---[DVI to S-Video Converter]--->--Hauppauge(S-Video IN)-Hauppauge(USB OUT)--->---PC(USB IN)

I dont see why it wouldnt, Just make sure you have all the proper drivers and your pc can handle all of the information going around.

But otherwise, Should work fine.
