I think that is incase someone else claims an act of god, or suddenly a big cult goes and takes over their site.
I don't think they are bracing their customers for the apocalypse and that they will not have to pay or something radical like that.

Oh, I know its just to cover their ass from the revenge of the people. They could sue and use religion as a basis, so thats why they put it there. I still don't see it very often lol

See, this is what the website will do.
If you make the payout, they will either : ban you/ modify the payment to 1 dollar/ not pay you.

simple as that. the website is a pure money maker because they dont actually have to pay you shit.
