2 Days from being a United States Soldier
Booyakasha.

Passed my ASVAB with a 56 today.
Getting flown out to Portland tomorrow to chill in a hotel then getting some old dude's fingers in my butthole.
Then I'll get a neat paper telling me I'm part of the United States Army

I'm going for something along the lines of networking, network security, intelligence, etc.

Word man though you might need a higher Asvab score for those. You got a low end average score so you're not going to get the best pick of jobs. If your recruiter tells you different have it in writing first. Before you get in know that they don't pay for schooling anymore. Went through this all with Jeff, just make sure they don't push you into something stupid to fill a position. Jeff got a 93 so the asshole dude kept trying to push him into some shitty job the guy couldn't recruit to anyone with a low ASVAB score. It was annoying. So just be careful a lot of the time they will lie to you to get you in, or make a shit job look good for a bonus.

It's not the technical "ASVAB" score as far as Percentile goes.
I have no idea what I got on that.

I scored that on the Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT) score, not
an overall ASVAB score. The AFQT score determines whether you qualify to even enlist in the
military, and only four of the nine subtests are used to compute it: Word Knowledge,
Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning, and Mathematics Knowledge.

-Get in Shape
-Free Housing
-Free Food
-Paid Schooling
-My Army job will be my regular 9-5 Job, then I can go to my house/apartment on Base and do whatever (Game, Pool, Bars, Xbox, etc.)
-Free Travel to Wherever I want to go (if I feel like taking the weekend to chill in Japan, I can)
-When I'm out I can get pretty much any job I want
-I can afford to live anywhere I want
-I get to blow shit up and shoot guns whenever
-When I get deployed, I'll be not only traveling, but serving my country at the same time.

I can't complain with any of this.
It's better than the freelance, dirty, trainhopping, couch surfing, broke and hungry homeless lifestyle I've been living the last 3 years.

You don't get paid schooling anymore. You don't get to blow shit up and shoot shit unless your MoS says so, there is no free travel and also they're getting paycuts soon again.

Good job supporting our country though someone has too /thumbs up

I would love to do that just for the networking/security alone, that would be so fun. Then again, I'd rather do it for a private company as compared to the military, haha.

You obviously are just doing this for post count because you could tell OP was being sarcastic.

Congrats. I was playing with the idea of joining the army a couple of years ago because I was poor, but they said I couldn't because I'm deaf in one ear and have ulcerative colitis.
