I had one removed. They had to break it into small pieces because it wouldn't come out.
Can you imagine hearing that yet not feel anything, it was horrible and I fear the dentist even more now...

Never gotten wisdom teeth pulled, hoping to never have to. Never got my tonsoles removed as a kid either. (I probably just butchered the spelling of that)
It doesn't hurt if you get a good surgeon. My girlfriend got hers done and had no pain/swelling at all
I had six of those bastards stuffed inside my tinier-than-average head, so they were all impacted and all had to be removed ... while I had braces off. They had to remove the wires on the braces (leaving only those metal bits glued on to your teeth that cut your mouth up to shithell and back,) put me under to remove my wisdom teeth, and then reassemble my braces.
The drugs they gave me afterwards were fucking awesome and I got to eat pudding, jello, and ice cream for two weeks, so I don't complain about it too much.
