Welcome to life as a minority.

I have a friend with dreads, and though she has multiple scholarships and a really high GPA she had issues getting a job this summer due to those dreads, which she recently cut off to get the job.

This is just like my cousin. He's unemployed because of his long hair. Everyone tells him to cut it... Everyone except his girlfriend of course x) She would rather work hard than have him cut his hair!

Yeah this heat shit is something I'm not used to that much, I'm from Hawai'i and we got a pretty consistent temp. out there.

Only reason I'd cut my hair is because of the heat not to try and create a professional look for myself. I work in the EDM industry and I have dozens of amazing DJ's to fall back on, but no way in heated hell would I cruise around on my longboard in a leather jacket and jeans!
