[Exploit] Minecraft, Log in as anyone

For those of you who haven't known, there is an exploit to be able to log on as anyone on a server. Though, this requires some special circumstances to be met.


1) Wait until the minecraft name verification server is down.
How would you know it is down? If you try to log in and the server says "Cannot connect to minecraft.net" Then that means the name verification server is down.

2) Download a pirated version of minecraft like this one.

3) Check "Force Update" and then select the name you wish to use.

Remember this will NOT work if the minecraft verification server IS working.


This exploit will let you log on as any player, and with their status on that server. For example if Joe321 was an admin on a server, and I logged in as him. I'd have his administrator status.

Hmm well I remember doing something with the minecraft jar or something, but I think the server auto-kicks you for having it altered or something alike.

Never heard of a n1nja

could you perhaps force this glitch to happen by somehow blocking the connection when it tries to update?

Sadly, no.

Unless you could block the server's internet connection for a a small period.

Which makes me think, if I can make a server lag enough, I may be able to join with a false username at anytime, but then again if it lags too much I won't be able to join. xD

Of course it does if you have a good cracked client, I've had my version of the cracked client since long before the actual release and it works fine.

Also there are server that use plugins to tell if the client is modded and auto-kicks anyone who joins it. So just watch out for those.

No special requirements needed for the cracked version I have, but I don't hand it out to just anyone.

Good to see the minecraft section of this forum is still being used, slightly.
