Yeah, been playing the translated versions for weeks, nostalgia mixed in with pretty crisp graphics.

I went to buy one, but they weren't selling it. I'll be buying a copy this Friday, though. I figure these games are epic enough to actually buy instead of download, seeing as how the original Gold was the last Pokemon game to blow my mind.

I ordered a legit version of soul silver with a black pokewalker.
That's the black covered pokewalker, you can get the english game with the black cover from Wallmart and some other distributers.

Finally got this game. Just got my motherfuckin' Cyndaquil. Suck it, bitches. I'm off to the Elite Four.

Hahaha, my next door neighbor Cory did the same thing with platinum, he got a shiny piplup after like 200 tries. But then once he got a shiny shinx randomly, same thing with other games.

I once pokesav'd to get a shiny mew but it just takes the whole point out of getting a shiny. Shinies do get enhanced stats and whatnot but not enough to take the fun out of searching for that shiny hoothoot or soft resetting for 3 days straight in front of a legendary trying to make it a shiny one.

The main reason to get shiny pokemon is because when you've played the game loads, you want to set your own objectives, like catch a male/female of every pokemon/fill your PC with shiny pokemon. Pokemon is very much a sandbox game, do what you want to do to have fun. Playing it linear gets boring

Yeah, I agree with Torian, I mean I love it, but you have to do something extra in your game to really have fun. That's why I love the new pokewalker, my friend was using it yesterday when he was over my house and his staryu was gaining a lot of experience. Pretty sick.
