Art class = Pokemon project? HALP!!!

I officialy love my art teacher, she gave us one project trk on for the whole year.

The topic is "Forging a style"

We picked a style of an artist out of a hat, and we had to do a series of artwork like they did.
I got Ken Sugimori.

I asked her what I was supposed to do since he was the guy that made pokemon.

She said, I have to draw 150-151 new pokemon by the end of the year, along with one fight scene between two of the new pokes.

I also have to think of a region name.
At first I thought that this was going to be awesome.... until I tried brainstorming for new poke's and epically failed.

That why I'm coming here and asking for help, I need ideas.

If you feel like helping, upload some of your fake pokemon, post what you would like to see.
(If you do post you fakemon or post an idea and I draw it, I'll upload it to my DA for you guys to see)

Please, I really need help, I doubt I can get this project done in time without some inspiration from your guys' stuff.

it would be like all fire like with ice spikes coming out of it or somehting xD not a very good idea but just wanted it out there.

Make Eevee evolutions for types that don't have any.
Like Ghost, Steel, Ground, Rock, Flying, Dragon, Bug, Poison, Fighting.
You could also make a normal type evolution of eevee since eevee doesn't have a direct evolution.

I already had a few eeveelutions planned, but not that many .3.

I probably will, I'm gonna do a lot of conflicting type pokemon, like electric/ground.
Only problem is, what animal do I base it on?

Make some elemental rocks.
Like a thunderbolt shaped rock, wave shaped rock, etc.
Or something like Regithunder.

My starters are as follows.
Fire - Leonus - The firecub pokemon (It's based on a lion)
Water - Kumamushi - The hibernation pokemon (Based on a bear)
Grass - Abido - The spontaneous mouse pokemon (Based on a mouse)

Still needing suggestions, and or really good examples for inspiration.

Currently drawing the starters, prolly gonna post them tomorrow ;/
They have those thousand dollar tablets at my school so drawing with a broken wacom bamboo might not work as well.
