1st gen was the greatest thing ever.

2nd gen was great, slightly under 1st gen

3rd gen is where they started to go downhill for many reasons (no team rocket, still are using the fucking elite four, pokemon are getting obnoxious) however the game was still good, could have been better though

4th gen I absolutely hated it... thank god they picked up the slack when they remade 2nd gen for DS... if they didn't do that I swear I would have suicide bombed the pokemon HQ

5th gen... just no... they have gone to far, they cannot undo what they have already done. I hate 5th to the point where I refuse to admit it exists. this is the aborted baby of Pure Rental Metardation! 5th gen shouldn't exist!

I agree with Clovs, 3rd was the best. Graphic wise, it was a big leap from G/S/C, yet it managed to keep the charm previous versions had.

Heck yes. Plus it was the first pokemon game to introduce the concept of weather, tree houses, pokemon contests, ect.
Idk as lame as it sounds I felt like I was going explorin' with my pokemanz when I played that game.
Plus I think I like more pokemon from that gen verse any other gen.

Anyways, Nintendo is full of shit, but Pokemon is fucking intense. I grew up with it, it taught me a lot more than just adventure and shit like that.
