Exactly. Would have been cheaper than all those repels though. Should be in the game guide or something.

I used to do this to avoid wild pokemon
but it got tiring really quickly..

Repel is more worth it.

It also wasn't common knowledge the Oak gives you 5 pokeballs if you talk to him after the second rival battle west of Viridian city. Also you can go to the safari zone for free in Yellow but it required you to be broke

I have been using innocent repels all my life T.T

I would rather use Repel. It's a hassle to keep on using cut. It'll take you longer.
