Quitting Smoking.
So I'm kinda trying to quit smoking. but it's causing anxiety issues. Does anyone have tips, suggestions, or other healthy habits I can pick up?

Try oral fixation alternatives, like chewing on a toothpick, chewing gum, etc.

I'll try that,I have kinda bad teeth, so I don't really like gum, but I haven't tried it in a few years.
So now to my shopping list, gum and toothpicks and anything else that looks good to chew on. I'll share how it works out.

That can happen for a bit after you stop smoking.
Don't worry, it'll go away soon.
Try keeping a cigarette around, you know, in the car or in the house and such and just hold it or take dry puffs when you really want to smoke.
Do away with all the lighters. The cigarettes sort of acts as an oral fixation like GAME was talking about.
Sometimes it works pretty well. Reassuring having a cigarette around sometimes.

I'm a smoker and I know how hard it is to quit. I've tried several times, the only thing that helped me when I quit for awhile back in 2010 was orange slices. Sounds weird but it honestly works, just don't eat too much you can get kidney stones.

@Isonyx My sister told me about doing that when she was trying to cut back, it just feels weird taking a dry puff.

@Maverick I'm not big on oranges, I'm more of a tangerine girl. But I'm almost ready to try anything.

Whenever you feel you need to smoke, drink a glass of water.
The first year was the hardest for me, after two I forgot that I craved cigs instead of water.
Nowadays I can smoke a few whenever I want to without relapsing.

You just need to stop and fight for it.
