I don't really like valentines day and how corporate and completely pointless it is, but me and my boyfriend are going to dinner and doing cute lame stuff.
We've been going out for almost 3 months

Idk. Ive always been horrible at asking girls out...
I talk to her daily at least, but I just dont know what to say.
I was honestly REALLY close to asking her out just for a walk in the park, hangout, etc... Except its rainy and cold sunday.
Ehh.
Asking people out gets easier when you realize that you have so much more to lose if you don't take the chance. If you don't ask you'll never know. D: it kills me not knowing what coulda been with chances I could have taken.
But if I do ask, I could ruin the friendship we have right now. Shes a great girl.
This is going to sound wierd, but she is dyslexic, has ADHD, AND diabetes... And it just makes her all the more cute.

I have no idea what I'm doing. Probably nothing. My gf doesn't really like valentines day, and I'm cool with that, and it leaves me a good excuse to go get some time with her that day.
Valentine's day, like any holiday except Christmas, is only as corrupt as you let it be. If you rise above the sell out part its pretty nice. Generally the people that hate it are those that are singe and without some sort of person to which they are attracted. Their dislike steams from spite usually.
Valentine's day is meant to be a day to show your love to someone and everyone really. Which is something the world really does need more often. While love may be just a chemical in our brains it is our choice to assign it meaning and glorify or demonize it. An we have collectively chosen to glorify it beyond normal thing, because we have found it to effect us more than most things. The romanticism of love is important and it is those ideals and beliefs that make something like Valentine's day enjoyable.
I've been single for a few years now, but eh. Life goes on. I don't like all the hate it gets from bitter single people 8(
It makes me happy to see how optimistic you are. Most people I know are like "I can't believe i got broken up 2 weeks before valentines." or "I can't believe I got broken up 8 months before valentines" -.- Okay well, maybe not that large of a time span but still. Optimism about this holiday is pretty uplifting.

I gave my mom a homemade card for valentines day, and she loved it. As C0FFIN said, it's only as corrupt as you let it be.
It bothers me when people talk about hating it because they have no significant other. The day is meant to celebrate the people you love and care about. That doesn't have to be a spouse. It could also be your parents, pets, and friends. Hell, it could even be a hobby. Anything and anybody you "love" is to be celebrated on that day.
What are you doing for the holiday? Buying her a Little Debbie "Be My Valentine" zebra cake from the gas station. I'm broke as hell. Opinion on the holiday? Eh, it's just a holiday for people who don't really like eachother to act like it... It's just a cover up. If you're in a relationship, how long have you guys been going out? ... Year 5 months 14 days. What's your favorite holiday? Probably Halloween, due to it makes her the most happy. She likes dressing up and shit. Other than that, I don't really have one. Use to be Christmas, but what kid's favorite holiday wasn't that?
