New Throughts: Oil Spill
I'm beginning to think that all of this commotion over the oil spill is really to just cover up what is going on in DC. The president has passed a bunch of bills and laws that haven't been covered by the American public hat should have, and all because we are distracted over some shrimp and aquatic wild-life dying.

Does anyone else notice this crap?

what are some of the bills and laws that were passed?

The oil spill is a disaster for those in that area(me). The main draw it that there was no plan for such a event and is being handled poorly.
The American public doesn't really care about the government it seems to me. Most likely it news to everyone that is reading this that there were primaries for senator elect is in several states.
They should care. I care. I'm watching whats going on, not that it matters that much because from day one Obama went in I decided to vote for whoever ran on repeal of any thing and everything he's done, doing, and will do. Plus we're not terribly far from mid-terms and I'm very confident the dems are about to lose the a majority in the senate, more likely the house will be close to 50/50.
At the same time is this any different from the rest of Obama's administration? Every thing he does is behind the people's back. He can't get his health care bill passed and he starts twisting arms behind closed doors. Obama is not running a government by the people for the people he run a government for himself and telling us that he knows best and what we want means nothing.

What bills and laws have just been passed?

I also don't understand why the government would use this oil spill. It would completely mess up our economy. BUT, what if Obama is for the idea of us becoming Type 1? Then maybe he is purposely messing up the economy so that the american people will support the idea of a global currency! o_o

i dont know lol.
im rambling again

It is messing over the economy. Louisiana is already being hit with crap. The government is letting BP take care of the problem, and it's been what 32? 34? days since this all started, and everything BP has tried to stop it failed. I say the government should stop pussy-footing around and step the hell up. Sick of the prices of crap around here since this happened.

And soul, these laws and bills are passed on a daily basis. It's nothing new. Oil spill or not, crap is passed without the public knowing through the news since always.

What's passed?
D:

I don't think that the government should have the right to pass laws and such without letting the public aware.

*Nature fag* Oh those poor little shrimpies ... D':

Messing up the economy just for the public to go gong-ho about global currency sounds like a stretch...the American dollar has gone so far down in value its lost its meaning.. what we should be worrying about is getting our balls owned by China! We owe over trillions of debt in the form of credit cards...to them and an increase dependence on foreign trade is really putting the country in bad shape...sorry for the tangent... as you were... ^.^

No one cares about the shrimp as an animal. They care about the ecosystem because it is important to the US fishing industry. They care more because that oil will destroy the tourist industry in tons of states.
You want to talk about revaluing the US dollar and get the debt down? Throw Obama and his health care bs out and you will lower debt, stick to Obama's pussy roll over and die act and the world will like us more and the dollar will go up.

The people trying to take care of the oil spill situation are getting a lot of shit on the news from everyone. Even the interviewers, and they're not answering all the questions asked.
I think it's terrible that this could be effecting our water also. I dont really know a whole lot about this situation, but everything C0FFIN said, I'm going to agree with.

Im aware that bills like what have been passed happen on a daily basis, but the fact is that it should have at least been reported to the American public. as far as I'm concerned its still being used as a cover to pull the proverbial wool over the eyes of the people.

I don't see why they chose Barack for president.. He is a democrat, which brings problems right there.. If he were a republican, this problem wouldn't be happening.. He's just an idiot.. Sending a bill to BP isn't going to help anything, they need to stop focusing on greed and figure out what will actually help stop it.. All they're doing is trying to close it, but obviously that isn't working, and it may take til august until they actually figure out a diagnostic.. It's simple fucking planning people.. "DOMG WE HAS TO PUT THIS METAL ON THAT TUBE TO CLOSE IT UP, AND THEN IT STOP." wrong..

what's wrong with him being a democrat?
I think democrats are better than putting an asshole republican in charge
for example George Bush :)

I think we just need to follow what russia said, i mean the general wildlife is fucked anyways, so why not burn it all up by setting off a small nuke?

What did Bush do that was so bad? I'm just interested in your beliefs, not here for a debate.

Also, there's this one thing they can spray on the oil to make it turn into a solid foam so they can just pick it up (i saw this on a youtube video about the oil spill. i would link to it but i cant find it Dx). They can also use hay and hair on the coastlines to soak up the oil. But no, BP decides to use toxic dispersant. The ones they used at first are banned in the UK because of how toxic they are. It's sad, really.

It is awesome how no matter what they do they would still get blamed. I mean if they did step up earlier and it takes a few days to patch it up everyone will be saying that they did a poor job, but if they don't they will still be criticized.

I think they're trying to kill the pelicans. You may never know...
