Same.

Shouldn't the battery in your Yellow be dead? Meaning you won't be able to save, unless you're using a rom.
#7
ROM'ing it up.
Sorry it's taking so long to move forward, I keep having to run out to do stupid little things.
#8
Coffin, you can buy replacement batteries o: It sucks that you have to lose your save though to put it in :( I have a thing that saves your saves and you can put them on the computer though.

Not really. He's talking about the battery in the cartridge, not the console.
Though I think that only applies to the time feature of Gold and Silver version, not saving in all games. Saving is powered by the console battery, I'm pretty sure. It's only Gold/Silver's internal clock that had its own battery.

Nooooooooooooooooooo

Theres a little battery in the cartridge that allows you to save your game. You can buy new ones, third party companies have started making them. And no, the save files are stored on the cartridge, and on the old Game Boy cartridges, to save the little battery had to have power. Fine, as long as you weren't expecting to save after 11 years, I believe the lifetime is.

Obviously it's stored in the cartridge. And the cartridge gets its power from the GameBoy when it's inserted. That's why the chips connect.
GameBoy games aren't much different than, say, SNES games. And SNES - and even NES - games still work just fine. So do Genesis. Because there aren't batteries in them. Only games with batteries are Gold/Silver for time. At least, I've never heard otherwise, nor can I imagine why they would.
#12
Nice game, I had silver but couldn't save so ehh.
#13
I caught a Nidoran (Male).
Name that bitch!
#14

Haha this is great, I can't wait until you catch more pokemon. This makes me want to go play Pokemon Blue on my Gameboy Color, I think I'm going to go do that now.

New Rule:
Pikachu can only use electric moves against Brock.

For your information General, I am keeping DickButt over Sharshonda.
Dickbutt is level 18 now, Sharshonda is level 9. DickButt evolved into Pidgeotto.

I will think about it.

Just beat Brock with Nidoran, it evolved into Nidorino.
#35
That doesn't actually have to be your Elite 4 team. I think the fun is in the over-analytical decision making in intermediary steps, like who to raise in Mt. Moon and what abilities to learn and what TMs to use on who and who to level the highest or not at all. It would be boring to tell you how to end the game.

Well as the adventure goes on, I will start asking more questions rather than names.
#37
Time to Start an Adventure part 2!~

Let's get it going guys!

About to tackle Mt. Moon.
A few things will happen first.

Name my Jigglypuff! (First post gets it.)
What Pokemon am I catching in Mt. Moon? Zubat, Geodude, Paras or Onix? (Second post gets it, only two choices!)
Third post decides which Fossil I choose! Helix or Root?
#38
Bubblegum!
#39
Alrighty! Next post gets to decide what 2 Pokemon I catch in Mt. Moon and gets to name my Sandshrew that I just accidentally caught...
Person who posts after that gets to decide Helix or Root fossil!
#40
Paras teach that bitch Spore, bitches love spore. 100% accurate sleep there man.

Spike or Shovel or Grit for the name of Sandshrew.
